# FAST WARNING 'PRESTO' MESSAGE from the SIDC (RWC-Belgium) #
#--------------------------------------------------------------------#
The prominence eruption, from the Catania sunspot group 76 (NOAA AR 1845), at about 03:44 UT today, was associated with coronal dimming, EIT wave and a partial halo CME. The CME was first observed in the SOHO/LASCO C2 field of view at about 03:48 UT, had angular width of about 180 degrees and projected speed around 300 km/s. From the currently available data it seems that the CME was earth-directed. We expect the arrival of the CME at the Earth on September 23. It might result in active geomagnetic conditions.
